Sight Seeing:
Taj Mahal: Reflecting the passions of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, the Taj Mahal in Agra was built in the mid-1600s as a tomb for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. Later he was buried beside her.
Agra Fort: The 16th century old magnificent Mughal monument... the Red Fort of Agra is a powerful fortress of red sandstone encompasses, within its 1.5 mile-long (2.5km) enclosure walls, the imperial city of the Mughal rulers. It comprises many fairytale palaces such as the Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal, built by Shah Jahan; audience halls such as the Diwan-i-Khas; and Sheesh Mahal (The Glass Palace), which, inlaid with thousands of mirrors was once the harem dressing room. Agra: has become popular worldwide as it nestles the monument of love and one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Taj Mahal. Agra is one of the most important historical and ancient cities of India. A small city of Uttar Pradesh, Agra was built on the West Bank of the River Yamuna. Home of the Taj Mahal, Agra provides avid glimpses of Mughal architecture. To be in Agra is like taking a walk through history. Agra today is another provincial town with remnants from the past – tombs, churches, cemeteries and gardens. Close by is Emperor Akbar’s city Fatehpur Sikri, impressive in architecture and visited by devotees during the month of Ramzan for Urs at the shrine of Sufi saint Shaikh Salim Chishti.
Sight Seeing:
Itmad-ud-daulah: This monument in white marble standing across the river and short distance from the Taj, is believed by many to be an inspiration and model for the more famous mausoleum. It was built by Empress Noorjehan for her father, Mirza Ghiyas Beg, during 1622-1628 AD and pietra dura – inlay on marble – was first used here(ENTRANCE TICKET)
Sikandra :is the mausoleum of Akbar and is on the highway to Delhi, a little off Agra. The mausoleum complex is surrounded by a walled structure with its big arched gateway which is typically Mughal, complete with its own set of minarets and inlaid work. Inside the compound the main structure is encompassed by gardens and sprawling lawns. The main structure is quite big and mostly marble façade

Jaipur: the Pink City of Rajasthan derives its name from the light pink haze that hangs like a mist over Old Jaipur city. Jaipur the first planned city of north India is designed in accordance with Shilpa Shastra, an ancient Hindu treatise on architecture. Jaipur follows a grid system and its largely pink palaces and monu- ments have earned it the sobriquet of 'Pink City' Today, the city has spread beyond these walls of the old city and continues to grow. A government decree ensures that the wall city maintains it pink look. Beautiful gardens and parks and attractive monuments, once the haunts of the royalty, are still to be found everywhere. Traditional crafts like jewellery, metal work, enamellings, tie and dye, pottery, leather work, stone carving and miniature painting, patronized by the rulers in the 18th century, continue to thrive to this day.
Sight Seeing:
Hawa Mahal: Built in 1799 A.D. the Hawa Mahal or Palace of Winds is a major Rajput landmark. This five storied building along the main street of the old city is in pink splendor with semi octagonal and delicately honey combed sandstone 150 latticed windows and balconies. The monument was originally conceived with the aim of enabling ladies of the royal household to watch the everyday life and royal processions of the city.
Jantar Mantar: This is the largest of the five observatories built by Jai Singh II in northern India in the 18th century.
Amer Fort: Amber (pronounced Amer) is situated about 11 kilometers from Jaipur and was the ancient citadel of the ruling Kachhawa clan of Amber, before the capital was shifted in the plains to present day Jaipur. The Amer Fort set in picturesque and rugged hills is a fascinating blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture. The famous Sheesh Mahal or the scintillating 'Mansion of Mirrors', Sukh Niwas or 'Palace of Pleasure', frescoed facades of Ganesh Pol, the 'Auspicious Entrance', carved marble columns and arcaded corridors of the halls of public and private audience. These were the stuff that royal dreams were made of and inspired generations of Mughal emperors to send their artisans to imitate.
Day 4. Jaipur To Delhi

CITY PALACE - A delightful blend of Mughal and traditional Rajasthani architecture, the City Palace sprawls over one-seventh of the area in the walled city. It houses the Chandra Mahal, Shri Govind Dev Temple and the City Palace Museum.
Albert Hall: Situated in the middle of the garden as a centre attraction was the exquisitely built structure of Albert Hall, which was designed by Sir Swanton Jacob, a British architect who designed many palaces in Rajasthan. Combining the elements of English and north Indian architecture known as the pride of the New Jaipur opened in 1887 AD, it is a very well maintained and impressive building displaying a rich collection of Art- de- fact like paintings, carpet, ivory, stone and metal sculptures and colorful crystal works etc
